Beach Cleans

The beautiful Isle of Mull, Iona and surrounding islands have over 300 miles of spectacular coastline. Every tide brings in more and more plastic debris. There are many groups and individuals living here and visiting who regularly do beach cleaning. It is very important to take this off the beaches to prevent endangering wildlife and the fragile ecosystem.

As well as suggesting that people get involved with one of the many organised beach cleans that take place across the islands we encourage individuals to take a little time to pick up a few pieces every time they go near the shore and to take it home and bin it. We partnered with 2 Minute beach Clean and provided benches with information boards to encourage beach cleans. These can be found at Loch Buie, Isle of Ulva and other locations. Why not take a photo of your beach clean and share it on our facebook page or on 2 Minute Beach Clean.

Keep an eye on our facebook page for further updates of planned beach cleans.
